A fresh demonstration of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart gameplay will be shown at Gamescom 2020 during its Opening Night Live segment, which will air on Aug. 27 at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET. Host Geoff Keighley clarified that this demonstration will be a fuller and uncut version of what was shown at Sony’s PlayStation 5 event back in June.

Keighley will also be speaking with Insomniac Games after the demonstration and has plans to ask the studio about the title’s new female Lombax protagonist. As of right now, her name hasn’t been officially revealed.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will sport new weapons and better visuals as expected, as well as utilize many of the new features of the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller. Additionally, the dimensional rifts throughout the game showcase the power of the PlayStation 5’s SSD and its shorter loading times.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was one of the biggest reveals for PlayStation 5’s upcoming lineup, along with Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Horizon Forbidden West. Currently, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart has no set release window but will release exclusively on Sony’s next-generation console in the future.

The wait till Gamescom 2020 and its Opening Night Live segment is not long now. Check back for more announcements.
