“Gears of War-2 level” Announcements at GDC

Industry insider Geoff Keighley says there will be a blockbuster announcement at this year’s GDC.

Geoff Keighley, from GTTV, obviously remembers that last year’s keynote speech from Microsoft was the release of Gears Of War 2, and suspects (or knows) that something else is in the pipeline, and let this little Twitter out of the bag:

“Interesting to see Variety expecting no Gears of War-2 level announcements at GDC. They are wrong. Stay tuned.”

GDC, if you’ve been living under a rock, is the Game Developers Conference 2009, which starts off the gaming industry’s trade show tour. With luminaries like Peter Molyneux, Satoru Iwata & Hideo Kojima giving keynotes speeches, there’s bound to be some of the most exciting gaming news of this year released.
