Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Brings Co-Op Multiplayer in Fall 2020

A cooperative multiplayer component for Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima has been announced, titled Ghost of Tsushima: Legends.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends does not follow the campaign’s protagonist, Jin Sakai, but four legends spoken about by the inhabitants of Tsushima. Four different character classes are available: Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, and Assassin, who each have their own unique abilities.

The multiplayer experience has been designed to accommodate between two and four players. Two players will be able to participate in co-op Story missions with escalating difficulty that build upon the gameplay foundation set by the single-player campaign. Both players will have to work together and synchronize their actions.

Having four players will allow you to challenge Survival missions. Players will fight enemies in waves, which will also introduce supernatural Oni. Additionally, four-player Raids will arrive at a slightly later date where players will be whisked away to face a ferocious opponent.

For those who have already purchased Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima, the Legends multiplayer will be free. However, a PlayStation Plus membership is required. It is set to release in fall 2020. More details about the character classes and customization will be revealed at a later date.

Ghost of Tsushima was released last month exclusively on PlayStation 4 and was July 2020’s bestselling game in the United States.
