Sony and Santa Monica Studio have announced that 2018’s God of War will launch on PC with a release date of January 14, 2022. Since the game’s original launch in April 2018, it has sold 19.5 million copies on PlayStation 4.
The PC version of God of War will support 4K resolution, unlocked frame rates, and 21:9 ultra-widescreen support. It will also have full integration with Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) on RTX, Nvidia Reflex low latency to deliver a more responsive experience, and higher-resolution shadows and improved screen space reflections. Additionally, both DualShock 4 and DualSense wireless controllers will be supported, along with other gamepads, and offer full keyboard mapping customization.
Those who order God of War on PC will earn some digital content too, including the Death’s Vow Armor sets for Kratos and Atreus, Exile’s Guardian Shield Skin, Buckler of the Forge Shield Skin, Shining Elven Soul Shield Skin, and Dökkenshieldr Shield Skin. More details about the God of War PC version will be revealed as the January 2022 release date nears.
God of War is the latest PlayStation exclusive to make its way towards PC. Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone were some of the initial big first-party exclusives to arrive. Both Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy were announced last month to be coming to PC bundled together as Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.
