Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part I Teaser Debuts

Penultimate Hunger Games installment gets teased

Lionsgate has released the first proper teaser trailer for the third Hunger Games feature, Mockingjay – Part I, featuring the beginnings of open rebellion in Panem.

Picking up where Catching Fire left off, Mockingjay finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) struggling to accept yet another fate she didn’t ask for: Being set up as a living icon – “The Mockingjay” – to rally the Districts against The Capitol and President Snow. Conflict will arise as she comes to question the costs of resistance and the less-than-heroic behavior of many who claim to fight in her name. Surviving characters from the previous films return, including the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in what will end up being one of his last onscreen appearances.

Originally published as the third installment of the Hunger Games Trilogy in a single volume, Mockingjay has been divided into two films in a manner similar to The Hobbit and the finale of Harry Potter. Part II is set to be released in November of 2015.
