The new mode from Riot’s competitive real time strategy game is up for testing today.
At PAX Prime this year, there were a lot of lines. Gamers flock hundred – some, thousands – of miles to Seattle to wait in a queue to play their favorite games months before others will have the chance. One of the longest lines this year was to play the new game type for League of Legends called “Dominion.” Now, the doors are open for a lucky selected few to begin testing Dominion and the new map “Crystal Scar” today.
“We’re pleased to announce that the limited beta is under way!” read an announcement on the League of Legends website. Riot Games will be sending emails to those of you who’ve signed up for the beta test during off-peak hours over the next few days. Cross your fingers you get to try “Dominion” before your mates.
If you aren’t chosen, don’t worry. There’s still a chance you’ll get in before launch and learn the particulars of the new map early. “If you miss one of the testing windows, remember that there will be plenty more opportunities to help test Dominion as we speed toward launch!
“We’re entering the home stretch, summoners!”
