We don’t know much about Incognita, but we likes it, yessss we do.

Don’t Starve and Mark of the Ninja developer Klei Entertainment has something in the works, and while we don’t know much about it, what we do know is verrrry intriguing. Add a couple extra ‘r’s in there if you like; you can never have too many. Do you like turn based strategy? Did you love XCOM: Enemy Unknown? Then maybe you should be paying attention to Incognita, the spy game Klei’s building down in a secret underground base.

It’s a little different from XCOM. “In the majority of turn-based games, positioning is your number one priority,” says Klei’s Jaime Cheng. “From our standpoint, we wanted to make a game where information is one of the key things that you want.” You’ll need to put your people in the right place, at the right time, to make off with the data. Put a foot wrong, and Kablooie! Your license to kill, as well as your spleen and other important organs, will be permanently revoked. The levels will be procedurally generated, preventing the map memorization so handy in XCOM, and you’ll need to use your brains. “We wanted it to be a cerebral experience,” says Cheng.

This will be a PC title at first, with Linux and Mac to follow, and no, there is no release date yet. Fancy a little more? Then head over to the website, and sign your life away.
