New Deus Ex Trailer: Conspiracies and a Surprise

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

A hot new Deus Ex: Human Revolution trailer is on the loose, serving a look at some of the conspiracies driving the game and, unless I miss my guess, a quickie glimpse at a man every Deus Ex fan should know and love.

It’s been a long time since a game had me as excited as the upcoming Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Not only does it look super-hot in its own right, it’s also shaping up to be a worthy successor to the ground-breaking Deus Ex, something that the first follow-up, Deus Ex: Invisible War, failed to pull off.

This new trailer is dead sexy from the word go but what makes it really interesting is the guy who turns up around the 22 second mark, who I am sure – I am sure – is none other than Bob Page. That’s right, Bob freakin’ Page, head of Page Industries, and if you have no idea what I’m talking about you need to check out this YouTube video immediately!. (Also, shame on you.)

While we’re at it, here’s something else to think about: Page Industries was the parent company of VersaLife, a pioneering nanotechnology giant in Deus Ex. VersaLife – Sarif Industries; I think you know where I’m going with this.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution comes out on August 23 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
