Hard Rest Redux is headed to Steam in June, and you can see 15 minutes of gameplay in this new video.
It’s been almost five years since Flying Wild Hog released Hard Reset. The cyberpunky first-person shooter was very reminiscent of the 90s, and now they’re set to release an updated and expanded version titled Hard Reset Redux.
Hard Reset Redux not only moves the game to the newest version of the RoadHog engine – which means better visual effects and lighting – it also adds content as well. You can see a cyber-katana and a dash move, both of which might be inspired by another game Flying Wild Hog is working on: Shadow Warrior 2. You can also expect quick saving, rebalanced gameplay and difficulty levels, additional content, and support for gamepads as well.
We know that Hard Reset Redux will be available on Steam on June 3, but there’s no word yet on what it might cost. We’re sure to find out soon, but until then, enjoy the gameplay video above.
