Arc Raiders regional pricing to get cheaper in several countries

When Arc Raiders went live with pre-orders the other week, many found the game to be relatively affordable for a big game launch during peak release season. However, that sentiment was not shared with all countries, with less mainstream currencies noticing the regional pricing was vastly more expensive than the purchasing power and cost of living in that area. Starting today, Arc Raiders developers Embark Studios are rolling out fixes to many countries, with refunds automatically rolling out to help offset the cost for those who paid a bit too much.

The currently known regional price changes are taking effect in the following countries:

  • Brazil,
  • Chile,
  • China,
  • Colombia,
  • Costa Rica,
  • India,
  • Indonesia,
  • Malaysia,
  • Peru,
  • Philippines,
  • Taiwan,
  • Thailand,
  • Ukraine,
  • Uruguay,
  • Vietnam

If you have a pre-order in any of those countries, you should get a refund for your order automatically over the next few days. You can re-order the game with the changed regional price of Arc Raiders, with a discount to match.

If you’re curious about the price change, the game is now roughly 33-21% cheaper than normal for those regions, according to SteamDB. India, Indonesia, China, Ukraine, and Vietnam are seeing between around 33% price drops compared to the original launch. Meanwhile, places like Thailand and Latin American nations are seeing roughly a 22% decrease in the regional pricing for Arc Raiders. These are major price changes, all things considered, making the game much more affordable for those regions.

If you still think the price is expensive or are unaffected by the price changes, then you can sort of test the game out during the server slam event. That event runs from October 17-19, offering players some insight into testing the servers and getting an early feel for what Arc Raiders is going to be like when the popular extraction shooter launches on October 30th.
