Borderlands 4 Horrors of Kairos – all rewards and timings for the big Halloween event

It’s nearly Halloween, so Borderlands 4 can use that spooky opportunity to launch its first mini-seasonal event since release.

The Horrors of Kairos is the name it will go by and will bring players the opportunity to earn a new legendary on top of all those already in the game, a legendary grenade, and a skin, amongst other things. Here’s what we know about it.

When is the Borderlands 4 Horrors of Kairos event release date?

Horrors of Kairos isn’t as long as some of the Halloween events we have running at the moment, for example, Skate, which lasts longer. In fact, Borderlands 4’s first seasonal mini event will run from October 23rd through to November 6th, which doesn’t leave you a heap of time if you already have any considerable Halloween plans.

What are the Borderlands 4 Halloween rewards?

We mentioned above about the new legendaries, but here are some more details.

  • “Murmur” Legendary Tediore Assault Rifle: Executes weakened enemies with guaranteed crits on targets under 35% health
  • “Skully” Legendary Order Grenade: This death-dealing grenade fires out projectiles as it seeks out the nearest target

These two are gained from World Bosses, but there are also some other goodies from bonus Shift Codes:

Gourd Your Loins – a pumpkin head (inevitably) usable by any character, and Hex Appeal, which is a weapon skin for any weapon. We will add those Shift Codes to this page once they are released for ease.

In truth, Horrors of Kairos doesn’t look like it is the most ambitious of seasonal events, more likely a test run before a holiday event, so hopefully the short time frame won’t hit too hard.

You can jump in from Thursday.
