Gooners, rejoice: Dispatch may be getting previously cut sex scenes

Dispatch is a sorta choose-your-own-adventure episodic game that is currently in its first season. There’s no denying that the misfit hero team is an instant hit with fans of story-driven games, but it apparently could have been even jucier.

Recently, writer Pierre Shorette admitted that he regrets cutting sex scenes from the game. And you’re just now telling me there could have been sex!!? THE OUTRAGE. I may be joking, but gamers are actually mad. Shocker.

Said one gamer: “Just sucks the creators have to censor their own game because fully grown adults get mildly awkward around the tamest depiction of cartoons cleavage.”

Dispatch writer claims sex scenes could be coming hard

Shorette discussed the all-important sex scenes in Dispatch during an Inverse interview. It started as a conversation about the romance that honestly isn’t that important in the game, which includes romancing either Blonde Blazer or Invisgal.

However, it seems that Dispatch fans are craving more romance — and uh, more intimacy. However, Shorette stated that they never set out to make a “gooner game,” noting that sex scenes were “definitely cut.” After seeing the fanbase’s reaction to the game, Shorette now regrets removing them.

In the interview, Shorette teased that these sex scenes may get released one day.

“There isn’t anyone on the development team that wouldn’t have a laundry list of stuff they wish they could polish more or gotten into the game. On the writing side, our team has a bunch of darlings that had to be killed along the way,” Shorette said.

That doesn’t mean they won’t branch out from the main game, however.

This particular sentiment has some fans believing that DLC is on the way, including some deleted scenes and alternative choices. Ones with wieners and boobs, of course. And it’s safe to say other fans are desperate to see this — they’d apparently be willing to pay for it. Devs, take note.

Dispatch sold over 1 million copies in its first 10 days. AdHoc is already thinking of a second season. And I assume this second season will be raunchier, if the team knows what’s good for ’em.
