This article is over 18 years old and may contain outdated information

Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Wii will launch on December 8th in Europe for 249 Euros.

In a press conference in London, Nintendo has confirmed that the Wii will launch on December 8th; just over three weeks following the North American launch. Wii Sports will be packed with the console and Nintendo claims there will be approximately 20 titles to choose from, including Zelda: Twilight Princess and Ubisoft’s Red Steel.

Like the US, additional Wii Remotes will sell for 39 Euros, and the separate Nunchuck will sell for 19 Euros. Nintendo has not said exactly how much first-party titles will cost, although they estimate between 49 and 59 Euros.
