Official Batman v Superman Posters Show Tension Between Heroes

Batman v Superman Director Zack Snyder saw fit to release two posters over the weekend for the 2016 superhero film. Via Twitter, Snyder released both the Batman and Superman posters and included specific hashtags for today’s special IMAX screenings of the trailer. These teasing Tweets come at an opportune time, right after last week’s leak (and Warner Bros.’ official release) of the movie’s teaser trailer.

The posters depict the famous heroes/antiheroes in what feels like a modern day propaganda style, each with the opposing heroes’ emblem slapped over their eyes. It’s a pretty obvious nod to the movie’s underlying plot; Batman and Superman facing off after the wake of 2013’s Man of Steel.

Check below to see full shots of both posters.

Judging by the posters and the trailer, I think we’re in for some interesting marketing tactics as we get ever closer to that 2016 release date. I personally prefer Superman’s poster to Batman’s, though that’s likely due to the use of Superman’s eye-catching primary colors as opposed to the Dark Knight’s traditional black.

What do you think of the new posters?
