Even though Pokémon Pokopia isn’t the traditional franchise experience, requiring you to go out and catch as many Pokémon as possible, there is still a Pokédex to complete.
You’ll do this by enticing as many creatures as you can via the habitat system which may actually take longer than the traditional catch ’em all process, depending on your skills.
So what do you get for putting all those hours in to complete Pokopia’s Pokédex? Is it just another certificate?
What are the rewards for completing the Pokémon Pokopia Pokédex?
As you start securing more Pokémon visitors on your island, you’ll earn various recipes for things like a Storage Box, Grass Flooring, Rope, and even a Humidifier. These will all help you on your way, but there are a couple of additional bonuses you can earn if you go all in on getting the Pokémon population back to what it once was.
The first of these for completing the Pokédex is the Neo Dowsing Machine recipe, which probably doesn’t blow your socks off, but at least it’s something.
However, once crafted, you can then take it to Sparkling Skylands, along with a Pokémon that has the Search ability, and if you start wandering on the north-western island, you’ll be notified that you’ll need to dig something up.
This will be another scanner, and if you scan your Pokédex, you’ll unlock an homage to the Celadon City developer room, where you’ll net additional recipes for the Printer, Shutter, and Card Reader.
If you craft the Printer, you’ll be able to scan your Pokédex, where you’ll get the pièce de résistance, the Pokédex completion certificate.
So, yes, you will pick up a certificate for completing the Pokédex just like the Kanto days of old, but at least there’s some additional stuff, and a bit of a process to acquire it.
