RPG-Maker Atlus to Bring Games to 360

Japanese game development company Atlus will bring new roleplaying games to the Xbox 360 via its California-based division.

“We are very proud to pledge our support to the Xbox 360 and to officially partner with Microsoft to bring quality titles to their impressive entertainment system,” said Atlus USA executive Tim Pivnicny.

The company said it will make two games for for the platform in 2008: Operation Darkness and Spectral Force 3. The first will be a strategy-centered roleplaying game in which magical powers will help defeat Nazi Germany in World War II; the second is a more freewheeling title that has already seen iterations released in Japan.

Atlus has previously worked with the other two console giants, Nintendo and Sony, in bringing roleplaying games across the Pacific.
