Scalebound Trailers Are Disappearing From YouTube

This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

Scalebound trailers are disappearing from the official Xbox YouTube channel after yesterday’s news of the game’s cancellation.

Yesterday, Microsoft confirmed rumors that development on Platinum Games’ upcoming action role-playing game Scalebound was being canceled. The game, first announced at E3 2014, was delayed to 2017 just over a year ago, with little heard since.

Since yesterday’s announcement, Microsoft has deleted all mention of Scalebound from nearly every official channel. All trailers for the game on the official Xbox YouTube account have been set to private, and all that remains on the official Scalebound website is the announcement from a Microsoft spokesperson, which reads: “Today, I have a difficult announcement to share that affects our fans, Microsoft Studios team and a valued partner. After careful deliberation, we have come to the decision to end production for Scalebound. This decision was not made lightly. At Microsoft, we remain committed to making Xbox and Windows 10 the best places to play games, and look forward to bringing “Halo Wars 2”, “Crackdown 3”, “State of Decay 2”, “Sea of Thieves” and other great experiences to our fans.”

The Scalebound Twitter account is still live, although there has been no update since September, with the exception of the news of the cancellation.
