Sony has launched its official PlayStation blog, creatively titled PlayStation.Blog.
The type of content the site will provide has yet to be settled on. According to Sony Computer Entertainment America representative Patrick Seybold, “At the moment, we’re thinking about sharing all sorts of things here, ranging from product news and title announcements to developer updates and industry opinion posts – all of which will come straight from the people here inside SCEA who are working, thinking and playing with this stuff every day.”
Comment functionality at the blog is enabled, allowing users to offer feedback about the content they’d like to see. In order to ensure useful feedback, a “comment policy” is in place, and all comments are moderated before being made public.
Currently, blog categories listed on the site include Developer Corner, Hardware, Industry Outlook, and Title Spotlight. “We’re excited to finally have a platform for conversation and connection,” Seybold added. “Much more is in the works too, so we hope you’ll consider sticking around, kicking the tires of our shiny new blog and sharing what you think.”
