EA offers The Sims Bowling for the iPod, saving us the trouble of renting used shoes and throwing gutter balls.
Electronics Arts has announced the release of The Sims Bowling for Apple’s iPod media players for $4.99. This title is EA Mobile’s sixth iPod title and is a port of the recently released cell phone game with the same name. In the game, players create a custom Sim, bowl and raise their avatars popularity and skill. Three game modes (Classic, Spare-O-Thon and Strike-O-Thon) provide plenty of one-handed playtime, or alternate with a friend for some head-to-head pin hitting.
“iPod is an extremely rewarding platform on which to develop games that are beautiful and fun to play. The Sims Bowling is a game that captures the lifestyle-oriented nature of The Sims, while delivering a meticulously crafted bowling game for the iPod,” said Travis Boatman, Vice President of Worldwide Studios for EA Mobile.
Javier Ferreira, Vice President of European Publishing for EA Mobile, added, “With The Sims Bowling, mobile gamers and existing fans of the franchise can now enjoy the fun of taking their Sims to the bowling alley to show off their skills as they climb up or slide down the popularity ladder. The game is accessible and great fun for everyone and available exclusively for mobile phones.”
