Microsoft has announced that from September 20th to September 29th, the Xbox 360’s Live Marketplace will feature new downloadable content including game videos, demos, and other media, in conjunction the Tokyo Game Show and Barcelona’s X06 event.
The promotion, entitled “Bringing it Home,” will feature daily updates including highlights from press briefings and new game videos from games including: Call of Duty 3, Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, Forza Motorsport 2, Kayne & Lynch, Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom, Need for Speed Carbon, Project Sylpheed, Shrek 3, and Viva PiƱata. Playable game demos will also be available, although a list of specific demo titles has not been released.
Microsoft reports that during the 7-day event, more than 100 new Live Marketplace downloads will be provided, including content for a “never before announced major franchise” on Xbox Live Arcade. The majority of the content will only be available during the promotional period, which ends at 12:00 a.m. PDT on September 29.
Last May, Microsoft ran a similar promotion concurrent with this year’s E3 expo, during which 360 owners were provided more than 60 items of downloadable content, including game movies, demos, and movie trailers. The previous E3 “Bringing it Home” event also included Xbox Live celebrity gaming sessions, game contests, and a free week of Gold Live membership.
