Xbox One May See Some Schedule Changes For Its Fall 2015 Lineup

Halo 5 Main

Head of Xbox Development says Fall 2015 release schedule “too crowded.”

During an interview with Larry Hyrb on his popular podcast Major Nelson Radio, Phil Spencer stated that due to the plethora of major AAA games releasing in Fall 2015, some release dates may have to be switched around. September, October, and November are some of the biggest months for game releases each year, and scheduling can be hectic as publishers put out their best to try and compete for consumers’ pre-holiday dollars.

Xbox One exclusives that are believed to be trying to hit a tentative “Fall 2015” window are Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Quantum Break, the new Crackdown, and Scalebound. Spencer stated that he believed it may be healthier for publishers to start vying for success at multiple points of the year instead of bunching their best games in the same four to five week time frame.

The question is: does this mean that these games are being delayed or perhaps coming earlier?
