"Actually, I was hoping that you would know what was going on, but as far as I know, we are here in a mostly support role. The Broken Destiny, in an effort to remain neutral, will be acting as a council vessel, but what that entails is a bit of mystery. Still, nice to see a few more people from this galaxy here."

Lieutenant Kenneth Senshi

Kenneth nodded. "Most definitely sir, these new aliens... Are rather strange. But I guess that's simply the scope of the Universe isn't it? Either way, I'm more willing to see them in a fight. Despite their advanced warship, if they don't have well equipped soldiers, this will be a short trip."

Lieutenant Quintus Arctus

"True," he conceded, "But they seem to be well trained, at the very least, soldiers all. Even if it does go south though, there's still us, and to the best of my knowledge, a few Geth platforms and Asari commandos coming along for the ride, so we're not quite defenseless. With any luck though, it won't come to that."

Lieutenant Kenneth Senshi

Kenneth smiled alittle. "Expecting the worst though tends to save lifes though. Like a missions I had back during the Reaper War. Lead a few troops, expecting the worst type of nasties they had for us. We lost minimal casualties because I thought ahead."

Lieutenant Quintus Arctus

Quintus paused a little at the mention of the Reaper War. "Yeah, always need more training, better intel." Trying to push the memories of the war out of his head, he agreed. "Actually, some training would probably be good for everyone. You want to find some troops from the Destiny and try out the firing range?"

HEY GUYS! Sorry for the long wait. Here is my post! Also some updates:

Since the events of Halo 4 haven't happened, and The Thursday War isn't out, things will be on the down low of what's happening on the Halo side of things. Once they release more will be brought up and who knows... Maybe we will experience Halo 4 ourselves... Which means some things may also be retconned like Jastis telling the story of their history since they shouldn't know the full history of Humanity.

Also now that the UNSC Infinity has been show in full force, some parts of the ship may change like the deck being more open and spacious.

JASTIS-015

"Jastis, you may be a Spartan but you're still Human. Not going to let you perish for the sake of acceptance. We do this all together. Now and get ready Spartan." She ended by getting out of her chair and standing around the holo table in the center which showed the ship and all of its status in full 3D.

Jastis saluted and showed himself out of the deck and began walking down the hallways to the armory. Just as he heard Nassa go over the ships COMs. "Everyone this is Captain Nassa. Once the drives are finished we will be heading to the colony of Ronokis which is under attack by unknown assailants. This is our chance to prove ourselves. Show them the strength of the UNSC and our allies. Captain Nassa out."

Under his helmet Jastis smiled. They would surely show this reality their worth. Getting down to the armory he began to prepare. He would take some plasma grenades, combat knife, BR85, MA5D, and M363 Remote Projectile Detonator and lots of ammo for each of them.

Colony of Ronokis - Unknown Faction

The takeover had been easy, Ronokis wasn't a military colony, just a simply civilian colony and thus had barely any defenses. It had been home to Asari, Humans, Turian's, and so on, but now it was full of corpses. "Men, the Broken Destiny is on its way here. We need to prepare for whatever they have. We only got bits of details, so no underestimations. Overestimate them and prepare for any level of technology."

"Yes sir!" The soldiers said in conjunction as they began to prepare for the arrival of the UNSC. The Squad Leader began to prepare when he got an incoming transmission from their leader so he broke off from the ground and answered it.

"Squad Leader Irosian, I take it the preparations are going as planned?" The mysterious voice spoke.

Irosian nodded his head despite his leader not able to see it. "Yes, and the UNSC Broken Destiny shall be arriving shortly."

"You know what's at stake here? The Citadel Council is too na´ve, they failed to see the threat that was the Reapers until they were at our door steps and then proceeded to break in. If we can use this new technology to get an edge over them, we will be able to instill our government over theirs and lead into a new era. Now go and continue."

"Yes sire." Irosian spoke as the transmission was cut. They would succeed, the Citadel Council will fall.

Note: They do sound like Cerberus but aren't.

mean while, in the Cryosleep chamber the techs where busy thawing every one out, ODST, Marines and Spartans, one such Spartan was a relatively new, and unproven Spartan named Sarah.

as the techs went through the motions of thawing her out, Sarah had a strange feeling "we're not at Reach already are we?" she ask as they went through the motor skills test "no Ma'am, it's been a bit hectic since the jump went pear shaped, the Captain or Jastis can fill you in" the tech said "Alright Spartan, your all green, and Jastis, is in the armory if you want to get up to speed on whats been going on"

Sarah nodded "will do" she said as she exited the chamber and entered an elevator 'the armory? what happened that we'd need to get ready for sortie' she thought as the elevator hummed to the deck with the armory a braced her self for the 'elites' she knew she'd be seeing. it was fairly well know she still bore a deep grudge against the Covenant for killing most of her family, not to mention friends, during the war, even though there was a peace agreement between the UNSC and The Covenant now. what she was not ready for, was what she saw when the doors opened to a hallway full with activity, not just Marines but aliens she'd never seen 'what the hell ....' her first though was they'd been boarded but on closer inspection the Marines where giving directions to these new aliens, and with hurried steps made her way to the armory.

the doors to the armory slid open and Jastis was there, still sorting out his load out "Sir, Spartan Sarah reporting" she said "and ... if i may what is going on? who are these aliens and why are they on our ship?" she said with a mix of concern and surprise in her voice

Lieutenant Kenneth Senshi

Kenneth nodded and got up. "Most definitely... Where is the shooting range on this ship anyways?"

JASTIS-015

He turned and saw Sarah. "I guess I shall explain. Do sit down because it is a lot to take it. But I will quickly go through it. When we were going to Reach something happened. It's hard to explain but we had to exit slip-space and we appeared not at Reach but instead a whole other dimension. One where the Covenant never existed, no Forerunners, no UNSC. Here there is the System's Alliance which represents Humanity, and an alien council known as the Citadel Council. Things are a lot different here. We don't know how to get back and thus we're stuck here for the time being.

Thus with that we have decided to make ourselves useful till we can find a way back and we shall do that by aiding them. So we're heading to the colony of Ronokis to stop mysterious assailants. I know I read your file, I know you have not the best feelings towards aliens. It's understandable but I must make sure that won't get in the way of business. You're a Spartan and now is not the time to hold any prejudice."

"another dimension? like the alternate reality 'another dimension' hows that even possible?" she said trying to get her head around it, before shaking her head "forget it for now." she said just giving up on that and started gearing up her self "don't worry about me, i learned a long time ago how to work with people i don't like, there won't, or shouldn't be a problem rather" she said checking her pistol over "what can you tell me about these new aliens? have you had a chance to met any?"

Alpha and two other Geth platforms had made all the preparations and changes to their hangar. A dozen Geth fighters had been assembled and were ready to be launched in the event of attack. The ship they were on did not seem to have a GUARDIAN system, and so were forced to make due. After a quick upload from the AI of the ship, they had everything they needed to improve upon it's capabilities in terms of ship to ship hacking. These human's computers weren't that far removed from this dimensions humans, and were of course, inferior to any platform in terms of efficiency and ability. They were able to upload their own defenses with Marsiani's permission. Three score platforms were now on the ship and Alpha found it prudent to request the Captain's permission to improve upon their engines software. Failing to find her, they instead tracked Jastis' armor's energy signature to the armory where another, slightly smaller suit and human stood.

"Jastis Spartan, we have...unpacked and are fully operational. The Geth are ready to serve. We have been unable to locate your Captain, could you perhaps direct us to her location?

He and the other two stood there silently, awaiting his answer, seeming to ignore the other one, but each and every one of them running scans and probable scenarios.

JASTIS-015

"Well some are..." He spoke just as a Geth stumbled into the armory which he identified as Alpha whom he had saw earlier. "Well some are like this one, this is a Geth. Without offense, you can sort of think of them like our AI but they have a physical body and are all connected. Alpha I shall show you to the Captain. Sarah I will be back shortly if you're willing to wait to hear more."

The hiss of an opening cryo pod filled a room as two cryogenics techs stood nervously, watching the man inside wake up. He glanced at them "Corporal. Private. Update." The older of the two techs stood at attention "Sgt. Anderson SIR! You're being woken from Cryo, get to the Armory for update briefing." Eli nodded, and got out stretching. After going through the standard medical check, he finally got on his way to the Armory. On the way, Eli stoically noticed new aliens on the ship. frowning, he sped up and got into the Armory as soon as possible. Standing at attention he saluted the group in the room "Sgt. Eli Nathaniel Anderson, ODST, Newly transferred to this assignment, reporting for post-cryo briefing and equipment stocking."

"i can wait" Sarah said turning to the ODST entering the room "Morning Sargent, i trust your morning stroll has been as" pausing a second "interesting, as mine as been" she said looking over the 'Geth', it was an interesting creature, was all she could think to register it as, that was for certain

JASTIS-015

"Alright, and hello Sargent. Sarah if you don't mind you can fill in the details while I show these folks to the Bridge." With that he stepped out of the armory and the Geth followed him. Going down the halls they arrived at the deck where Nassa was talking with her navigator, and he noticed an Engineer flying about.

Jastis stood and saluted. "Captain Nassa, the Geth wished to discuss something with you."

Nassa turned and nodded to the Spartan. "Thank you. So what is it?"

"Thank you. So what is it?"

"We believe we can increase your engines efficiency by another 7.76 percent. We are aware that it is not a large amount, but we are also aware that you do not have a GUARDIAN system in place. Our fighters are not numerous enough to protect this ship, therefore retreat may be necessary in the coming mission. In order to implement these changes however, we need complete access to your Engineering deck. We felt it prudent to request your permission before overriding your codes and making said changes ourselves."

JASTIS-015

"Hm... Can you give me the details of this GUARDIAN system? Because we have homing missiles on our ship alongside homing plasma missiles."

"Hm... Can you give me the details of this GUARDIAN system?

Alpha activated his omni-tool and uploaded the basics of a human-equivalent system that had a 70% chance of being able to be implemented easily on the bridge's display. He also uploaded a simulation of a GARDIAN system in place and one with the Geth's speculations of the ship without the system. But that was only if they acquired the parts.

"As you can see, your homing missiles are nowhere near as effective as the standard human vessel GARDIAN system. Plasma is, effectively, not sufficient against a massive fighter attack as you can see. What it is, is what you would organics would call lasers that cut through most shields as well as alloys. It can't be implemented yet, as we do not have the materials to begin the process."

Jastis-015

Nassa thought for a moment and then decided to just go with it. "I will allow you to implement the system, and I will help you get the parts. But under one condition, you will not leak the information to anyone or spread it to other Geth. It must stay on this ship and this ship alone until I give authorization."

Sarah simply nodded as Jastis left the armory and turned to Sargent Eli "i don't have a firm grasp on what happened, i was just thawed out my self, but apparently there was a malfunction of some sort force us to drop out of Slipspace, so for the foreseeable future, we won't be going to Reach." she said giving him a moment to process the information.

"as for all the new aliens on the ship, apparently the Slipspace malfunction tore a hole between dimensions, and now we're in one where the Covenant, and its races don't exist, in its place there seems to be a 'Citadel Council' and in place of the UNSC they have this 'System's Alliance' and the two seem to not be at war so that's a plus guess"

Sarah again pausing to let him process the information given "as to why these Council aliens are on our ship, the Captain has worked some kinda deal with them, we'll be working for, and with their own forces to 'earn our keep' while we're in their part of the universe" she said finishing her check on her pistol and holstered it "so gear up Sargent, we have a mission already. one of their colony's was hit by an unknown group, sadly i don't have any mission details beyond that, but i assume we'll be performing search and rescue along with wiping out hostiles" she said as she started the check on her assault rifle

Murphy sped along the hangar bay once again, keeping a level path. They had completed their O-Course training, and were now trying to use a Banshee as a dropship for the Warthog. They couldn't get enough power out of the Covenant vehicle to make it work.

"Damn it!" Murphy yelled as the Hog got a few feet off the ground, then fell again.

Tired, sore, and frustrated, the marines decided to call it a day. They parked their contraption in a corner of the hangar and slapped OPSEC signs all over it, hoping that would at least deter a few people from snooping into their redneck engineering project.

"Alright, I'm headed off to the range. Who's coming with me?" Murphy pulled his weapon off the seat beside him and started out the door, followed by his squad.

When he arrived at the range, Murphy found it heavily populated by officers from the Citadel. All the firing lanes were full, but Murphy found Quintus and got in line behind him. From the outside, it must have looked odd, a greasy, sweaty Marine holding his personal weapons right behind a the always pristine gleam of an officer.

But Murphy never really cared about that.

"I will allow you to implement the system, and I will help you get the parts. But under one condition, you will not leak the information to anyone or spread it to other Geth. It must stay on this ship and this ship alone until I give authorization."

Alpha twitched his head to the side, as the database on human body language suggested,"We are confused. This GARDIAN system is standard for all human vessels above fighter class. There is nothing to spread or "leak" that is not already known to the Geth. We are simply offering a system similar to your dreadnought class vessel. It will be difficult to implement, as your ship is many times larger than even a Reaper flagship."

Luna walked into the armory and found she was among others from this ship. "Greetings." She said giving a quick wave to the people gathered. She walked over to a locker and took the rifle off of her back. It unfolded itself to its full length. It had an extended barrel mod and a 1x scope on it.

She admired her baby, the weapon she had carried with her for the past couple of years. Noticing some of the looks she was getting from those she didn't know around the room. "I apologize, My name is Luna T'sair. Pleased to make your acquaintance." she said.

Jastis-015

"See, this ship isn't a Human ship from the Alliance, this is from the UNSC, and while we maybe less advanced in some places and more in others. We don't want any technology that could alter this dimension's balance of power to be built by everyone."

Down in the Cryo-Chamber Bay, technicians began the thawing process of all individuals stored on board the UNSC Broken Destiny; one such individual, was ODST Staff Sergeant Everett Kerrigan. There was a brief hiss of steam as the chamber door swung open, and out stepped Everett, who was feeling a little sleepy eyed.

"Whats the situation, we arrived at Reach already?" Everett asked with a brief yawn, as he was put through the standard motor control tests that came with prolonged stays in cryo-sleep.

"No sir, in fact, slip space jump went wrong somehow, and orders from above have been given to thaw all you guys out." One of the technicians reported, as he went over some readings on a nearby console. After the final few tests, the other technician spoke.

"Looks like your good to go sir. Head over to the armoury, someone there should be able to fill you in on the specifics of the situation." He said with a hurried voice, as he gestured towards the entrance to the cryo-chamber bay. Everett gave a quick nod, before heading out of the room. He soon got into an elevator, and headed up to the armoury level.

"Wonder why everyone is in a rush around here. Could it be that we're under attack? No, it can't be. Might as well get the answers I seek over at the armoury." He thought to himself upon exiting the elevator, and quickly making his way over to the armoury. Upon his arrival, he could see that it was full of activity, but not just from standard UNSC Marines, but some beings that he had never seen before.

"Well, this should be interesting." Everett said to himself, as he made his way over to some people who he remembered were also in cryo-pods.

"ODST Staff Sergeant Everett Kerrigan reporting for duty. Can someone explain to me what is going on here? I only managed to get a brief explanation from the technicians before I was sent here. And also, can someone explain to me, well... what these, aliens are doing here?" He asked in a slightly confused manner, still trying to get the lingering effects of cryo-sleep from out of his system.

Sarah had just finished her explanation to SGT Eli when the blue alien walked in "hi" she said simply as she finished her rifle check, then grabbed a couple Plasma Grenades, just in case.

"I apologize, My name is Luna T'sair. Pleased to make your acquaintance."

Sarah looked the blue alien over a little "Sarah" she said rather plainly, trying not to sound offensive, as she fired on the Plasma Sword she kept with her, a weapon she stolen for the intention of several, up close and personal' kills of Covenant commanders if given the change as her revenge. "sorry if i seem cold, I'm just not big on 'aliens'" she said, shutting weapon down and holstering it as well.

"ODST Staff Sergeant Everett Kerrigan reporting for duty. Can somepony explain to me what is going on here? I only managed to get a brief explanation from the technicians before I was sent here. And also, can somepony explain to me, well... what these, aliens are doing here?"

Sarah sighed "hope Jastis gets back soon" she grumbled a little "anyway, as some one probably told you, the Slipspace jump went wrong, there was a malfunction of some sort and the RUNNING theory is we're in some kinda of alternate dimension, or universe, which ever is easier to get you head around, a to why the aliens" pointing to Luna "are here, we apparently dropped out of Slipspace in they're back yard, 'Citadel Council' space, as i've been told, all i really know about them is they pretty much run this part of space, and the Captain worked out some kind, only bit of which i know is that so long as we're here, we work for them" she said

"which brings us to then next important bit of information, we're getting sent out, one of they're colony's was attacked, donno by who but that's what we're going to find out, which is all i know for sure, but I'd guess search and rescue as well as elimination of hostiles"

"Its alright, only the Sang-heli I believe she was, was open to new species. But pleased to meet you Sarah. I'm an asari, there's also an old friend of mine on board of the same species. She's going to be helping your medics and doctors incase anyone gets injured by weapons of this universe." She said then heard the sergeant speak up only to be responded by Sarah.

"Sergent, Sarah is pretty much right on the nail. The reason why there are a number of new species on the ship is because the council didn't want a ship never seen before running around with no experience of how to deal with threats in this universe." She explained.

Sierra Crown

Crown and her squad finished their lunch, getting the little bit of information they could from the various species on board. They gathered around her and arrived at the armory. This colony wasn't that far off and although she trusted them, Murphy's Law was still in effect, first the slipspace jump, then the ship getting conscripted, the last thing she wanted was their equipment failing on them on a planet that didn't exist in their dimension.

Arriving in the armory, they quickly found their lockers and suit up. Meeks suited up in the CQB variant, slightly different to her own demolition variant, battle rifle and shotgun being his loadout. Leppy and Chagerben in the standard armor with battle- and assault-rifle. And finally the Rookie in his rarer Sharpshooter armor, sniper, anti-material according to his file. The kid was more than a bit green, but his scores on marksmanship were better than some Spartans, he just needed more than simulations, and considering the recent shift, they were all going to need to start their training over if there were anywhere near as many species here as what Leppy had found on his brief scan through the computers on the Citadel.

The Lt. was the last to finish suiting up, her Galilean heavy as ever, but it had saved her squad's life more times than she cared to give it up for. The shotgun on her back and the pistol still in it's holster were for when that wasn't needed. Finally she had two satchel charges wrapped around her legs, unarmed, but easy to detach, arm, and blow when it was needed. Bunkers, buildings, and tanks were never safe around her.

The squad then lined up in front of her as she and Meeks gave them a cursory check. They all looked unsure of what they were going to find down there, but she wasn't going to let them get stupid. Each and every one of them were going to get home somehow.

Alpha

"See, this ship isn't a Human ship from the Alliance, this is from the UNSC, and while we maybe less advanced in some places and more in others. We don't want any technology that could alter this dimension's balance of power to be built by everyone."

"That is not possible, the Geth have already begun building a prototype from the scans we took of your ship when it arrived in our universe. We have no reason to use the technology you carry aboard your ship, we simply wish to understand you and this is the best way to facilitate this experience for us. You have nothing to fear from the Geth, there is less than a .001% chance of a Geth having the information taken from them. And of that small percentage, the only ones capable of the feat are the Creators and possibly a few members of the Salarian STG."

JASTIS-015

She knew there would be no point in further arguing, and Jastis wasn't completely trusting of the Geth but they had little to no choice. "Alright, you may do it. Just send the data of what you need to us and we will get it for you."

"Its alright, only the Sang-heli I believe she was, was open to new species."

"she? we have a female elite on board?" Sarah said offhandedly "thought they didn't let they're woman fight" she said before snapping back, "anyway, I'll try to get along with you 'Citadel' Aliens" and after a moment offered her hand to Luna to shake, reminding her self 'these aren't Covenant', even though she was still very uneasy about having so many more aliens on board

"Anyway, as some one probably told you, the Slipspace jump went wrong, there was a malfunction of some sort and the RUNNING theory is we're in some kinda of alternate dimension, or universe, which ever is easier to get you head around, a to why the aliens." The female Spartan said pointing to a 'Citadel Race' being known as Luna, she then continued. "Are here, we apparently dropped out of Slipspace in they're back yard, 'Citadel Council' space, as I've been told, all I really know about them is they pretty much run this part of space, and the Captain worked out some kind, only bit of which I know is that so long as we're here, we work for them." The Spartan then finished speaking, only to be continued on by Luna.

"Sergeant, Sarah is pretty much right on the nail. The reason why there are a number of new species on the ship is because the Council didn't want a ship never seen before running around with no experience of how to deal with threats in this universe." Luna explained, clutching onto what looked like a sniper rifle, if thats what it was in this universe. Everett thought for a moment, giving himself time to take in all this new information.

"Well, thank you very kindly ladies for bringing me up to speed on current events. If we are going to be going on a mission soon, no doubt to prove the worth of the UNSC, I may as well get myself armed and armoured for whatever this place can throw at us." Everett remarked, showing a brief smile to the two women, before heading off to collect his gear. He was soon met by one of the quartermasters.

"Ah, Staff Sergeant Kerrigan, glad to see you've woken up from the land of the nod." The man said with a brief chuckle.

"Yeah yeah, very nice to see you too Francis. Now, tell me, did my armour and weapons get brought on board?" Everett asked with a rather stern tone of voice.

"Jeez man lighten up, it was just a joke. Yeah, your gear got brought on board, and has been stored here ever since you went into cryo-sleep. Should be enough ammunition supplied with your guns to last whatever these new guys are throwing us into." Francis, slightly scared by the ODST's tone. Everett soon went over to the armour stand and weapons stand that Francis pointed him at, and got suited up.

"Its good to be back in the saddle." Everett thought to himself, chuckling to himself underneath his helmet as he finished putting on his partially customised Sharpshooter armour. It took a few moments for the VISR (Visual Intelligence System, Reconnaissance) to become fully operational, what with it being a new location, but it soon started giving out all the various battle data, and waypoint information.

"Well, at least that appears to working. Might have to give it a while to adjust to this new universe though." Everett said, as he began making weapons checks. First came his twin combat knives, which he tossed in the air a few times, finishing with a few practice stabs before placing them in the holsters. After making sure his gear functioned properly and loading them up with ammunition, he made his way back to the others.

"Well, at least our equipment appears to be working." Everett casually remarked to the group that was beginning to form.

"thought they didn't let they're woman fight"
"turns out they do, she seems pretty happy about being able to prove herself in combat." Luna said and took the hand, shaking it. "But please, call us council races. Aliens is such a Xenophobist term." she said smiling.

At this time. Mee walked into the armory rubbing her head. She walked over to her locker and began to get suited up. Once again, the sangheili worked with the complicated armoring process.

Luna Pointed over to the sangheili. "Thats Mee, she's the one i was speaking of before."

Sarah looked over to Mee, all she saw was just 'another Covenant solider' "I'm sure she is" her tone icing over, she might be willing to give these new aliens a chance, but 'Covenant', no chance "there's a Spartan named Jastis i was waiting on, but if we're going to be deployed soon then i need to hit the range, knock the frost off ya know, if you see him let him know ok" she said to Luna before exiting the room and heading for the shooting range

"There's a Spartan named Jastis I was waiting on, but if we're going to be deployed soon then I need to hit the range, knock the frost off ya know, if you see him let him know ok." Sarah said to Luna before exiting the room and heading for the shooting range. Everett watched the conversation, and agreed on the her idea.

"You know, I think I'll do the same. No doubt all that time spent in cryo-sleep, has made my skills a little rusty. Better make sure that they are up to scratch if we're going to do well. If anyone needs me, I'll be down the shooting range." Everett said to anyone that was listening, and followed Sarah down to the shooting range.

Eli had slipped away at some point to get suited up, and now came out slightly behind the others in his full Marksman ODST battle dress. The helmet was polarized. "I'll tag along, always good to get some time in down the range before a mission. Warm up those nice killer instincts." Eli had his pistol holstered at a quickdraw leg-position, and his battle rifle over his back.
