Apparently the newest way to celebrate a country’s Independence Day involves crazy light shows that look absolutely incredible.
Fun fact about the Ukraine: The country’s Independence Day is August 24th. Another fun fact: Independence Day celebrations over there are pretty dang cool, because a video of a “3D light show” has surfaced on the Web.
The show was projected on the Kharkov Regional Administration Building, and – as you can see – the results are pretty spectacular. The imagery is amazingly realistic, and it also does an impressive job of turning the building into a virtual stage that seems to undergo numerous transformations.
The first 30 seconds of the video are skippable, but it’s fantastic to watch after that point. I think the United States should take a note and start doing stuff like this on the 4th of July instead of fireworks, though beer and barbecued meat shouldn’t go anywhere.
