TN Games has announced it will begin shipping its 3rd Space FPS Vest on November 21, bundled with 3rd Space enabled versions of Incursion and Call of Duty 2.

The vest, originally designed for use in the medical field, uses eight air pockets to simulate physical impacts during gameplay. According to the TN Games website, “The cells are designed to simulate the direction and force of bullet fire in a first-person shooter game. In addition, a wide array of sensory experiences, from crushing explosions to fear-inducing finger taps on the gamers’ shoulders, can be experienced with the 3rd Space FPS Vest.”

Mark Ombrellaro, founder and CEO of TN Games, said, “Our patented vest technology now provides gamers with an unprecedented opportunity to physically experience their action, bridging the divide between virtual and physical reality. Our technology enables gamers to get pounded, feel the rush of body slams, be crushed with G-forces, feel a stab wound or be blasted with bullet fire in either a single or multiplayer game experience.”

Patches to enable 3rd Space functionality in Quake 3, Quake 4 and Doom 3 are also available free of charge on the TN Games website. “We can’t wait for the multitudes of Quake and Doom gamers to strap on our vests and start 3rd Spacing,” Ombrellaro continued. “We believe it will not only enhance these best selling titles but bring an unprecedented new physical experience to each gamer. We will announce more 3rd Space enabled titles in the near future, bringing a seamless and interchangeable new physical reality gaming experience to an ever expanding list of current and future version titles.”

The 3rd Space FPS Vest will retail for $189.00. More information is available at www.tngames.com.
