Ubisoft has been at the forefront of the cross-play and cross-progression initiative, particularly with its Ubisoft Connect online service. This service connects players across different gaming platforms, with cross-saves for titles such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and more. It launched on October last year alongside Watch Dogs: Legions.

Ubisoft Connect replaced the company’s Uplay platform, while the latter was rebranded to Ubisoft+, a subscription service that allows players to access over 100 games within the company’s catalogue.
