Tekken Movie Trailer Isn’t Appalling

Another day, another ropey looking videogame movie trailer, but this Tekken trailer isn’t that bad…

Let’s face it, it’s going to be a long, long time before someone makes a good movie based on a video game, but this trailer for the upcoming Tekken film manages to be less awful than most. While clearly made on a tiny budget and featuring no one you’ll recognize, it looks like it might have a few decent fights scene in it.

Directed by Dwight H. Little, who has also directed such martial arts blockbusters as Steven Seagal’s Marked For Death and, urrr, Free Willy 2 and starring Luke Goss, who is probably best known for his appearances in Blade II and Hellboy 2, the movie gets its theatrical in Japan on March 6th, 2010 and presumably at some point after that in the rest of the world.

Still, it can’t be worse that the Dead or Alive movie, right?
