Behind-The-Scenes Video Offers First Glimpse of Bond in SPECTRE

Who’s up for some Austrian mountain climbing?

With the next James Bond adventure coming later this year, the official Bond YouTube channel is going to be publishing a slow but steady stream of behind-the-scenes production videos shot on the set of SPECTRE.

First up? We find Bond director Sam Mendes, Daniel Craig, and others shooting on top of a mountain in Austria, alongside a glass-covered facility that just screams “Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion.”

Dave Bautista also makes an appearance, but there’s no Christoph Waltz in sight.

(Sidebar: Did any of us ever think that, of all the current and former pro wrestlers pursuing Hollywood careers, that Dave Bautista would be leading the way in terms of quality? The Rock has more credits, yes, but Guardians of the Galaxy and SPECTRE back-to-back is very impressive.)

Also noteworthy? SPECTRE is being shot on 35mm film — not a digital platform — as evidenced by the Panavision cameras seen in the above video. Between SPECTRE, The Force Awakens, and Quentin Tarantino’s undying love of the medium, film doesn’t appear to be going away anytime soon.
