Koei has announced that its upcoming strategy title Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War has gone gold, and will begin shipping to retailers in November.
Set in 14th century France during the period of the Hundred Years’ War, players will take on the role of a mercenary soldier under contract to the English or French, taking command of military units in a question for fortune and glory. Unit types will include infantry, archers, cavalry, siege units and many others, while troop experience and the commander’s reputation will affect factors such as unit quality and mission difficulty. The game will support 720p HD visuals and Dolby Digital audio.
A free single-player demo has been released on both Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network. Rated T (Teen), Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War will ship on November 6 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. More information is available at the newly-revamped Koei Bladestorm website.
