Blizzard Base Built in Austin

Developer Blizzard builds customer support center in Austin, Texas.

Blizzard Entertainment, the creator of the multi-billion dollar Warcraft franchise, purchased a 46,000 square-foot office building in northeast Austin, Texas to house approximately 500 quality-control and customer-service employees. The city of Austin was chosen for its well-developed technology industry, enthusiastic gaming community and preexisting call center presence.

Blizzard Chief Operating Officer Paul Sams commented on the vast employment opportunities created by the new support center. “We’ll have numerous immediate job openings at the Austin customer service center, and we plan to expand that staff as needed in order to ensure that we can provide the best possible service experience for our players on an ongoing basis.”
