Bokeh Game Studio Established by Siren & Gravity Rush Creator

Kazunobu Sato and Junya Okura join Toyama at Bokeh Game Studio. Toyama is CEO, Sato is COO, and Okura is CTO. The English word “Bokeh” refers to the camera blur technique that originated as “bo-ke” in Japanese. The studio is looking to develop titles for console and PC but is open to taking on any challenge regardless of platform.

Bokeh’s first title is a multiplatform action adventure game that Toyama estimates will take two-to-three years to develop, according to an interview with Famitsu. He also clarified that he will not be able to work on the franchises that he helped create back at Sony. Toyama stated that he has a good relationship with Sony though and that, if circumstances work out, he hopes Bokeh and Sony can work together someday on those franchises.

Check out the introduction video on Bokeh Game Studio below and how the studio values its freedom and independence. Additionally, game concept art is shown throughout the video, much of which look like enemy designs.
