This past weekend, the first annual ConTemporal convention moored its dirigible in Chapel Hill, NC. The science-fiction gathering had a strong concentration in the steampunk tradition, complete with clockwork prop displays, steampunk authors like Cherie Priest (Boneshaker) touting their wares and fanciful Victorian costumes. The Escapist team had a great time exploring the airship station and meeting the denizens of a bygone era.
