Crytpic Studios has chosen the experienced industry executive Ed Roffman as its Chief Financial Officer.
Ed Roffman has held increasingly important roles in the gaming industry since he joined Activision in 1979. As Activision’s CFO, Roffman successfully led the company in it’s 1983 initial public offering. He then switched to PC software studio Palladium Interactive and spearheaded its sale to The Learning Company. His streak continued as he sold Forte Software to Sun Microsystems and Illustra Information Technologies to Informics.
Cryptic President Michael Lewis remarked on Roffman, “We are extremely thrilled to bring Ed on board here at Cryptic Studios. His wide array of industry experience and general financial capabilities will be a huge help for our company as we get ready to roll into the Champions Online launch and beyond.”
