Crytek Presents “Maximum Christmas”

The developers behind Crysis announced on Christmas a free addition to its title in the form of a multiplayer map pack.

Dubbed the “Crysis Tournament Map Pack,” the release comprises five new maps for multiplayer, in both PowerStruggle and Isolation gameplay modes.

The maps are: Desolation, Crossroads, Training, Excavation and Terminal.

Each of the locales appear to resemble the environment of the first two-thirds of the game rather than the alien or ice-infested latter portions presented towards the end of the story.

The game’s multiplayer lets players choose from the same nanosuit powers presented in the single-player mode: cloak, speed and strength.

Also on the way are new tutorials for Sandbox 2 Editor, the relatively easy-to-use map creation tool boxed with Crysis.
