Destiny’s Vita Controls Have Been Optimized for Maximum Comfort

Destiny Remote Play

The control layout for Destiny while using the Playstation Vita’s Remote Play feature aims to capture the full game experience on the handheld.

By now, people are either excited for Destiny’s upcoming release this upcoming Tuesday or sick and tired of hearing about the game (to which I say- shame on you). For those in the first group that happen to own a PlayStation and a Vita, there is some good news if you’ve been thinking about using your handheld’s streaming capabilities to play the game.

Bungie has worked to optimize the game’s controls for Vita to make the experience more streamlined and comfortable for users. Different sections of the touch screen can be used for melee attacks, grenade throws, or to summon one’s Ghost. Yesterday, Sony released a video on their personal YouTube channel a video that showcases the remote play features in action on the Vita.

The official post on the PlayStation blog had this to say: “One of the things we noticed during the week of the Destiny Beta was that a lot of PS4 owners were streaming Destiny to their PS Vitas via Remote Play. In fact, Destiny was the No. 1 title for Remote Play during the entire month of July, racking up the most Remote Play sessions of any PS4 title.”

Hopefully, Remote Play will provide a faithful alternative for Destiny players when playing in a room different from where their PlayStation is set up or while on the go.
