Disney Expands MMOG Plans

Disney plans expansion to its online gaming repository.

Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed the company’s intent to launch further massively multiplayer titles similar to Pirates, a web-based game set in the Pirates of the Caribbean universe that Disney has recently released. The online announcements were part of a presentation by Iger at CES to unfold the new, redesigned Disney website.

Iger told techies and analysts, “We plan to build more virtual worlds like Pirates based on a broad range of our properties. You can imagine living in Buzz and Woody’s toy universe.”
