The promotional material for the campaign DLC is distinctly blue in color, and it seems like Maykr Angels will be the primary antagonists in this new content. Not much other information can be gathered from the teaser. The full Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods, Part One trailer will be shown at Gamescom 2020 during its Opening Night Live segment on Aug. 27 at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET.

Doom Eternal‘s campaign DLC was first teased back in May with some screenshots. Bethesda further announced earlier this week that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of Doom Eternal are in development. Players who have the current-generation version of the game will be eligible to receive a next-generation upgrade for free.

Bethesda is also working on making the game backwards compatible with the new consoles, but there has been no confirmation whether or not The Ancient Gods, Part One or any of the other DLC content is transferable to the next generation. It would make sense that it would be though.

Doom Eternal is currently available on Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch version should be seeing a release date announcement soon.
