On the eve of the show’s first appearance, E for All Expo organizers have released some critical details about what attendees can expect during the four-day exhibition.

Game competitions will be available throughout the show, with cash awarded for top winners. Highly popular titles, including Halo 3 and Guitar Hero II, will be at the center of competition.

An additional twist for the latter title will be the presence of MTV casting directors, who will take a look at video of guitar-playing gamers and give two bands a chance to take off to New York City for a TRL appearance and “rock star training.”

For those interested in the career side of things, a game career seminar sponsored by the Game Developers Conference will be held on Friday and Saturday. Officials representing various game companies will participate.

As befits any game show, playable games are also in the works. Listed titles include Rock Band, The Simpsons Game, Medal of Honor: Heroes, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Guitar Hero III, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Donkey Kong Barrel Blast..

Taking some wind out of the conference’s sails is the noted absence of some heavyweights, particularly Microsoft, Sony and several major game publishers. Nonetheless, EA, Nintendo, THQ, Intel and others will be attending the show.

The event will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center and is open to the public.
