Electronic Arts has announced yet another expansion to their mind-numbingly popular Sims franchise, called The Sims 2: Free Time.
The newest addition to The Sims menagerie will provide all-new activities and hobbies for your Sims, allowing them to explore new pursuits based on their personal interests and live their lives to the fullest. Sims can take up reading, learn to play an instrument, become an “award-winning foodie” or take up other activities, some of which can be turned to financially successful ventures. New career choices will also become available to your Sims, including oceanography, architecture and entertainment, and by honing their talents a Sim can unlock secondary aspirations to further increase their uniqueness.
The game will also include a new Lifetime Aspiration Meter, which will track the progress of a Sim’s aspirations over his or her lifetime and can unlock special rewards and interactions. Brand new objects and outfits will also be included, including a basketball hoop, pottery wheel, hobby train table and more, while new outfits to match your Sim’s hobbies and activities will also be available.
The Sims 2: Free Time requires The Sims 2, The Sims 2 Special DVD Edition, The Sims 2 Holiday Edition or The Sims 2 Deluxe to play, and is slated for release on February 26. More information is available at The Sims 2 website.
