Electronic Arts has announced a new online channel and web show in support of its popular Command & Conquer series of games.

Centered around Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, BattleCast PrimeTime will feature a “sportscast look and feel” for featured multiplayer matches, with expert commentary and post-match analysis conducted by a host and co-host, match highlights and detailed profiles of each of the combatants. The show will also include exclusive interviews with Command & Conquer development team members, community and event news, and “celebrity guest appearances.”

Available on the PC, Mac and Xbox 360 platforms, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is the latest chapter in EA’s long-running Command & Conquer real-time strategy series. The game received high scores and numerous “Editor’s Choice” awards from major review sites, although some sites criticized it for being too similar to the original Command & Conquer games.

The show, as well as other original content yet to be announced, is being developed at the EA Los Angeles studio. BattleCast PrimeTime will premiere on August 14 on the official Commander & Conquer website.
