Electronic Arts has announced that it will be shutting down online servers for 42 “older” games effective September 1.
In an announcement on its website, EA stated that gamers may continue to play the games online until the termination date, but that “certain community programs” may not be available prior to the official shutdown. The majority of the games are EA Sports ’06 titles and cut across a number of platforms, including the Xbox and Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and PC. The complete list of games:
