Ellen DeGeneres probably earned a few new fans at Microsoft yesterday when she gave an Xbox 360 to every member of her studio audience.
The audience was certainly happy about it, erupting in cheers and applause the moment she uncovered the console box, but perhaps more entertaining are the follow-up comments posted on the show’s website, most of which begin with a sob-story and end with a request for an Xbox 360 of their own. My personal favorite, though, asks for something a little different:
“Dear Ellen, I am poor and cannot afford to buy my son Timmy (aged 9) a console for Christmas. Please could you send me a PlayStation 3 and a copy of LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Resistance 2 as it would be a dream come true. Don’t worry about the Xbox 2.5, I would rather have a true HD gaming console.”
