Aside from yet another batch of Mass Effect Trilogy remaster rumors, we received confirmation that PlayStation 5 will include 667 GB of free space on its SSD, Square Enix apparently lost significant money on Marvel’s Avengers, Take-Two may acquire Codemasters, and more. Marvel’s Avengers Underperformed for Square Enix by a Lot

Based on Marvel’s Avengers‘ lack of players, it’s not entirely surprising that it didn’t do as well as publisher Square Enix had hoped, but what is shocking is just how much it underperformed. According to David Gibson of Astris Advisory Japan KK, Square Enix lost around 6.5 billion yen with Marvel’s Avengers, which equates to nearly $63 million. We do know the publisher plans to keep supporting the game, but it may not be enough to recoup the loss.

Developer Codemasters in Talks to Be Acquired by Take-Two

Today, website VGC confirmed that publisher/developer Codemasters, best known these days for its racing games, is in talks to be acquired by Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar and 2K. The amount of the purchase bid was subsequently reported by GamesBeat to be $973.8 million. Take-Two has said it “believes that the combination of Take-Two and Codemasters would bring together two world-class interactive entertainment portfolios,” strengthening the company’s lineup of games. Codemasters develops and publishes famous racing games like Grid and the F1 series.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure Will Get Online Multiplayer After Launch

Sony and Sumo Digital have decided to delay Sackboy: A Big Adventure‘s online multiplayer mode, as announced via the PlayStation.Blog today. We know it will still be coming to the game across PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 by the end of 2020, but its exact date is unknown. On launch day, Sackboy: A Big Adventure will allow for up to four-player couch co-op, and when the online multiplayer patch comes out, users across PS4 and PS5 will be able to play with one another.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season One Roadmap Revealed

We recently got a taste of what to expect from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War‘s first season of content, and there’s a lot to it. For starters, the beloved Nuketown map will make its return, along with new Zombies modes, 2v2 Gunfight, and tons of free maps and weapons. Season One kicks off on Dec. 10, following the game’s release on Nov. 13.

PlayStation 5 Has 667 GB of Free Space After OS

We finally have confirmation of how much storage space you’ll have on PlayStation 5, and it’s about what we expected. PlayStation 5 comes with an 825GB SSD, but after the operating system, it leaves you with around 667 GB of free space. This is confirmed by USgamer (as relayed by Nibel on Twitter), along with several other outlets that received the PS5 early. It was also confirmed that games will download significantly faster on PS5 compared to on PS4.
