F.E.A.R. 3 Collector’s Edition Includes Naked Alma Figurine

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

The collector’s edition of F.E.A.R. 3 will bring a whole new level of weird and creepy to your game shelf with a naked, pregnant Alma figurine featuring a glow-in-the-dark fetus.

Settle back in your chair and let that sink in for a bit. Alma Wade. Naked. Pregnant. Standing beside you. And when you turn out the lights, whatever demonic beast she has growing in her belly continues to glow an eerie, evil green. Right about now, one of two things is happening: you’re either desperately trying to scrub that appalling mental image from your brain, or you’re looking for your car keys so you can head on over to GameStop to get your preorder in.

A fairly standard bundle of CE extras will also be included, like a F.E.A.R. 3 comic book from DC Comics, a SteelBook package and a download code for the Hammer, Paxton Fettel’s sidearm from the original F.E.A.R. But really, who cares about any of that when there’s an emaciated, knocked-up, murderous lunatic in the box?

Alma Wade, for those who don’t know, is an immensely powerful and utterly insane telepath, consumed by fury and responsible for all the badness that’s transpired so far in the F.E.A.R. series. Her bun in the oven is the result of one of the most over-the-top WTF moments in the history of gaming that took place in the final moments of F.E.A.R. 2, which appeared to step away from the horror aspect of the first game but was in fact just saving it all up for a mind-bending 20-second blowout of awfulness at the very end.

F.E.A.R. 3 is due out in May for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Pricing on the Collector’s Edition hasn’t been announced, but you better believe I’m getting one.
