The “Immortal For Life” offer for the fast-paced PvP MMOG Fury has been extended into January.

Auran CEO Tony Hilliam announced in mid-December that players who had been involved with the game since the Alpha or Beta testing phases, as well as anyone who upgraded their accounts to either Hero or Immortal status by December 31, would be made Immortals for life. In order to accommodate gamers who were unable to take advantage of the offer during the hectic Christmas period, the company has now decided to continue the offer until January 10.

“We are very pleased to announce that the current Immortal for Life offer is now extended until 10th January 2008 due to popular demand from players who may not have the spare money following the festive period,” a news post on the official Fury website says. “All Immortal or Hero accounts created on or before this date will be flagged as Immortal for Life. Happy New Year to all Fury players.”

Launched in mid-October as a new approach to massively-multiplayer PvP combat, Fury got off to a slower start than anticipated, which ultimately resulted in Auran’s downfall. However, Hilliam has said that Fury and Trainz, the company’s two flagship franchises, will continue to be supported, and that he believed Fury would eventually achieve success. Auran announced the addition of a permanent “free to play” mode for Fury in mid-December.
