Based on this music video, Link clearly needs to put down the ocarina and start playing the violin.

There’s no denying that the Legend of Zelda games feature some lovely music. The games’ soundtracks are doubly lovely when they’re performed by insanely talented musicians. Just in time for the release of The Legend of Zelda: The Skyward Sword, a new video has surfaced with a truly lovely medley of music from the games.

The music video stars violinist Lindsey Stirling in full Hyrule garb, playing a medley of pieces from the various Zelda games. Stirling arranged the piece, and then teamed up with Devin Graham to film it.

If Stirling’s sounds familiar, there’s probably a reason for that. The young lady has been making a name for herself since she started posting videos of herself doing hip-hop violin routines on YouTube. In 2010, her musical abilities took her pretty far on America’s Got Talent and she’s been making a name for herself as a professional musician ever since then.

Personally, I’m in love with this video. And Ms. Stirling, obviously. However, I do wish that she had incorporated a couple of dance moves from The Zelda Dance, just for giggles.

Oh, and in case you’re interested in downloading the song, it’s available on iTunes.
