Insider: Infinity Ward Not Dead

Despite reports to the contrary, Infinity Ward has plenty of life left in it, according to insider sources.

Over the weekend it was reported that insiders were claiming that Infinity Ward “dead and would continue to crumble”, but now it appears that that isn’t necessarily the view of everyone at the company.

“First off, yes, it is a shitty situation, but there are two kinds of people left: ones that are sticking it out for the money, and others who want to make something work,” said an anonymous insider.

“We are not dead, we definitely lost original team members, but not all of the talent. When you talk about the people who left, they are the best in the business, but equally everyone at Infinity Ward deserves that same credential.”

“We are here for the long haul of keeping the Modern Warfare name alive. We just had this discussion in our Monday meeting – ‘We still have the talent that will get us to where we need to go, and now is the time to find our new leaders’,” the mystery person added.

With two conflicting reports, both apparently from insiders, the only way we’re going to find out who was right is by waiting and watching what happens. Infinity Ward is certainly larger than those who have left the company, but their departure may just be the tip of the iceberg.
