International Prices for HTC and Valve’s Vive Announced

Here is what HTC and Valve’s Vive will cost around the world.

Earlier in the month, we learned what Valve and HTC’s Vive VR headset would cost in the United States: $799. However, The Escapist is read by gamers of all different nationalities (including this writer!) and thus we are happy to report that HTC has just announced the international prices for its headset.

Here’s a breakdown of each region, and what the Vive will cost there:

  • US $799.00 USD
  • Australia $899.00 USD
  • Canada 1149 CAD
  • China 6,888 CNY
  • Taiwan $28,288 TWD
  • Japan 111,999 JPY
  • UK ?689.00 GBP
  • New Zealand $949.00 USD
  • EU €899.00 EUR
  • Belgium, Czech, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweeden, Switzerland €899.00 EUR

Additionally, HTC has announced that pre-orders will come with Google’s Tilt Brush, which you can see in action in the video above.

That means that pre-ordering the Vive gets you the unit itself, two hand controllers, two base stations, a copy of Fantastic Contraption and Job Simulator, and now the Google Tilt Brush.

Pre-orders for the Vive open on February 29, and shipping will begin on April 5.
