Departed 1UP executive John Davison raises funds for his new venture.
John Davison, previously 1UP’s Editorial Director that recently left the company website, and his partner Ira Becker have raised a $1.5 million investment for What They Like, a family-focused gaming website.
Private equity news site PEHub notes that What They Like Inc. is aiming to raise a total of $3 million, and Ira Becker, formerly 1UP’s General Manager and Development Vice President, is the company’s Chief Executive Officer.
