Game publisher Midway indicated some dissatisfaction with the sales pace of the PlayStation 3 console.
Company CEO David Zucker said in an interview today, “We would not be the only publisher to tell you that we’re a little concerned about the take-up of the PS3.”
Zucker seemed to indicate that the recent $100 pseudo-price cut was not enough in the long term. “Anytime you get a hundred-dollar price or hardware cut it will improve sales, the question is, is it enough? Will there be more?”
Midway is responsible for bringing Unreal Tournament 3, the latest in a popular online team-based shooter series, exclusively to the PS3 this year.
It will also bring another anticipated title, Stranglehold, to the console with a full-length film on the Blu-Ray format.
