Namco and Bandai finish the last stage of the companies’ merger in Europe.
Namco Bandai Holdings Inc. declared the formation of Namco Bandai Games Europe, an integration of the Namco and Bandai game studios and production teams throughout Europe. Namco Bandai Games Europe will be based out of Cergy, France and London, England. Publishing deals with Electronic Arts and Infogrames will remain unaffected by the consolidation, but product management will be beefed up “to provide greater support to European partners as part of an ongoing PAL roadmap for the company and its brands.”
Masayuki Matsuo, President of Namco Bandai Games Europe, noted: “This integration has been extremely exciting for all concerned. The collective strength of our two companies will allow us to position ourselves and our products more aggressively in Europe, competing alongside top tier publishers and supporting our distribution partners to maximize sales and marketing opportunities.”
